Abraham
IN THE NAME OF GOD, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE DISPENSER OF GRACE
[14:50]
clothed in garments of black pitch, with fire veiling their faces.

* v.50 : According to Rāzī, the “garments of black pitch (qatirān)” and the “fire veiling their faces” are metaphors of the inexpressible suffering and loathsome horror which will enwrap the sinners’ souls on the Day of Judgment. (See also sūrah 73, note 7.)
